About Our Practice
ColoProctology Associates & nasaHernia is a specialty surgical practice that offers high level care of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus, along with repair of body wall hernias.
Located in the heart of scenic Seabrook, Texas, the practice welcomes patients from all parts of the Galveston Bay and Clear Lake areas. The practice’s physician, Marcus Aquino, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is one of only three board-certified colon and rectal surgeons in the entire Galveston Bay area.
We offer a full range of Colon, Rectal and Anal procedures along with high-quality inguinal (groin), umbilical (belly button), incisional, and colostomy hernia repair. Patients also regularly come to the office for diagnosis and treatment of anal fissures, fecal incontinence, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome, and other anal issues. Complex body wall hernia repairs using component separation
techniques are used when indicated. When requested, mesh free groin repair is offered as a very well tolerated and effective alternative to a mesh implant.
Advanced diagnostic testing, including colonoscopy, is performed to confirm or rule out certain conditions. When surgery is necessary, patients can undergo advanced minimally invasive surgery, utilizing state-of-the-art da Vinci® robotic and laparoscopic technology.
With affiliations at several premier Texas hospitals, including HCA Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital in Nassau Bay, and Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital in Baytown, our patients are able to undergo complex, major procedures at conveniently located state-of-the-art facilities.
ColoProctology Associates & nasaHernia is currently accepting new patients and welcomes those in need of a second opinion. Most major health insurance companies have us in their provider networks. Flexible scheduling is available through the website or by calling the office directly.

We offer Colonoscopy in our private operating room where cash paying patients or those with high deductibles can have their procedure for a fixed fee of $900/$1250 depending on whether a polypectomy/biopsy is done. This fee will cover the fees normally paid to the physician, anesthetist, pathologist and facility.
Genetic testing
We offer genetic testing and counseling to patients with a family or personal history of colon polyps and cancers. The tests take the form of a simple "spit/saliva" test that uses the DNA from the cells inside the mouth. This is a convenient and painless way to obtain genetic material. We work closely with your insurance company to make sure that the tests are pre -approved, making your portion of the cost of the test as low as possible.
